Facilities
Wilderness Ridge Camp came into existence in the Spring of 1987 through the vision and efforts of
men at Spring Branch Community Church in Houston, TX with an original gift of seven acres. Additional land was acquired in 1991 and 1993 which expanded the camp to its present 95 acres.
We offer Summer Camp programs to Elementary, Junior High and High School boys
in June and July. A week of Summer Camp has a capacity for 32 campers, with a ratio of two leaders to every
eight boys.
In the Spring and Fall seasons, we offer weekend retreats for Fathers and their
Sons, Fathers and their Daughters, as well as camping for the whole family. Each weekend retreat has a capacity
of 60.
In addition to the retreats sponsored by Wilderness Ridge, we also open the facilities for church groups or other
ministries to have their own types of programs.
Location
The camp is located on beautifully wooded, rolling terrain in the Lost Pines of Bastrop County. Approximately
45 minutes from Austin, an hour and a half from San Antonio, and two hours from Houston.
This area map shows where we are located.
